about us

Our story began back in 2016, when a small team from Newington and the surrounding suburbs started gathering as Newington Anglican Church. Over the years, we’ve seen God grow our church family beyond what our original space could hold—and now we’re thrilled to continue that story in a new home at Wentworth Point High School.

Along the way, we’ve made many wonderful friends, and we’d love for you to be part of the journey too. Whoever you are and wherever you’re from, you’re welcome here.

At the heart of everything we do is Jesus. When you know him, you can’t help but want to know him more—and to share that joy with others. Whether you’re already a follower of Jesus or just curious to explore faith, we’d love for you to join us.

What to expect

Our church is for everyone who lives in Newington, Wentworth Point, Olympic Park, Rhodes and beyond!

We’re a community made up of people from all kinds of backgrounds, languages, and ages. While English is the main language we use, we’ll do our best to support those who are still learning.

Kids are a big part of our church family. During our gathering, there will be teaching for kids and fun activities for toddlers so that everyone is cared for and included.

Our formal meeting starts at 9:15am and runs for about an hour. Together, we’ll read and reflect on God’s word in the Bible, sing, pray, and talk about what it means for our lives today.

Afterwards, we’d love for you to stick around - morning tea will be ready and it’s a great chance to get to know one another.
